| SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Welspun India migrated to SAP S/4 HANA, implementing SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform to replace SAP ERP ECC 6.0. The program targeted core finance and accounting workflows, and included coordinated SAP roll-outs for four different group entities to unify financial processes across those business units.
The implementation incorporated master data governance through MDG for master data, and aligned ERP Financial configurations with adjacent systems that support supply chain and sales functions. Integrations documented in project notes included SCM planning tools such as Algorhythm, barcode and WMS systems, and CRM channels including Salesforce and C4C, enabling transactional master data and order-to-cash coordination between SAP S/4 HANA and those suites.
Deployment was executed within an IT-managed runtime environment that combined on-premises hardware, software and network components together with cloud-managed services and a data lake for analytics and machine interfacing. The architecture supported business analytics, IoT data ingestion and BI reporting layered on top of SAP S/4 HANA, while IT operations maintained production run solutions, system security frameworks and ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
Governance and delivery followed an Agile and hybrid project methodology, with structured configuration change control and impact analysis to manage modifications. The IT organization led budget oversight, supplier management and risk management, operating a team of functional and technical staff to support SLAs, and achieved an explicit reduction in operating costs through systematic IT performance and process management.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Welspun India implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central deployment was designated as the company Core HR platform to centralize HR master data and standardize employee lifecycle processes across the Welspun Group.
Implementation planning produced a staged roadmap, with Phase 1 covering RCM, ONB and Succession Planning, and Phase 2 focused on Workforce Analytics as the next capability set. The project emphasized configuration of central employee records, organizational data models and self-service HR workflows to reduce manual HR touchpoints. Functional activities included requirements analysis, system integration testing and user acceptance testing as part of the build and validation cycle.
Architecture work centered on aligning and integrating SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central with existing SAP systems and other HR automation tools at group level to establish a single HR data entity. The implementation connected HR teams, managers and employees through the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central tenant, enabling consistent reporting sources and downstream process orchestration. Design artifacts and the system roadmap accounted for ongoing HRIS enhancements and consolidation of disparate HR applications.
Governance and rollout were managed through program level project plans, SIT and UAT gates, annual HRIT budget planning and cross-functional coordination with HR teams to institutionalize process changes. The HRIS team served as the central point of contact for managers and employees, steering requirements capture, testing and application support. The implementation emphasized a self-service philosophy and incremental deployment to embed new HR operational workflows.
