| Snag | Legacy | Snag Recruiting Platform and Onboarding | Recruiting, Onboarding | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Westlake Ace Hardware implemented Snag Recruiting Platform and Onboarding to support frontline hiring and new hire processing for its 700 employee retail organization. The deployment targeted core Recruiting,Onboarding capabilities to manage candidate sourcing through onboarding workflows across corporate human resources and store hiring teams in the United States.
The Snag Recruiting Platform and Onboarding implementation was configured to deliver applicant tracking, job posting and mobile apply, candidate screening and interview scheduling, offer workflow controls, and structured onboarding checklists with electronic document capture. Configuration emphasized role based access for HR administrators and store managers, standardized hiring stages, and automated task assignment to streamline requisition to first day processes.
Operational integration included the public careers site which was using PeopleMatter as their ATS on their website, with PeopleMatter later acquired by Snag in 2016. The implementation therefore functioned alongside the careers site experience and the Snag application was provisioned as a cloud hosted SaaS recruiting and onboarding layer intended to orchestrate store level hiring activity and corporate HR workflows.
Governance was organized under HR ownership with defined approval gates for store hiring, template driven onboarding tasklists for compliance and operational readiness, and administrative controls for user provisioning and access. Implementation narratives indicate the focus was on standardizing recruitment and onboarding operations within the Recruiting,Onboarding category while maintaining site level hiring autonomy for store managers.

The Epicor Eagle deployment supported Westlake Ace Hardware and Ace Retail Holdings operations for the Westlake chain, covering central inventory planning based out of Lenexa, Kansas and over 150 neighborhood stores across the United States.
The implementation focused on inventory planning and replenishment capabilities within Epicor Eagle, including demand forecasting, replenishment parameter configuration, allocation and purchase order management, and SKU rationalization workflows. Epicor Eagle was used to generate inventory forecasts, build annual projections for assigned categories, and provide purchase and replenishment recommendations to Category Managers and the Director of Inventory Planning.

The solution was applied to monitor product flow from Ace regional supply centers and direct-to-store vendor orders, and to inform inventory productivity analysis, promotional stocking plans and store-level replenishment decisions.
Governance and process changes centered on adjusted replenishment parameters, coordinated forecasting and allocation processes, cross-functional project participation, and inventory management education for field personnel. | Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft 365 | Collaboration | Collaboration | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Westlake Ace Hardware adopted Microsoft 365 for Collaboration. Public traces on the Westlake Ace Hardware website indicate active use of Microsoft 365 across the company's digital footprint, aligning the application with core internal collaboration needs for a midmarket retail organization with approximately 700 employees.
The Microsoft 365 deployment centers on cloud-hosted productivity and collaboration capabilities, with standard components such as Exchange Online mail, Microsoft Teams for real-time communication, SharePoint Online for intranet and document collaboration, OneDrive for individual file storage, and the Office productivity suite for authoring and coauthoring. Configuration work likely emphasized shared document libraries, team sites and chat based collaboration workflows, along with centralized identity and access control native to the Microsoft 365 platform to manage user provisioning and role assignment.
Operational governance appears to follow Microsoft 365 administration patterns, using centralized tenant controls to manage permissions, content lifecycle and compliance settings across corporate functions. Implementation narratives prioritize collaboration workflows for corporate and store operations, with an administrative model that consolidates policy, mailbox and collaboration governance within the Microsoft 365 admin surface rather than fragmenting controls across point solutions.
