| SS&C Technologies | Legacy | SS&C Advent Axys | Portfolio and Investment Management | Investment Management | n/a | 2009 | 2010 | In 2009 Wijs & van Oostveen Vermogensbeheer deployed SS&C Advent Axys as a Portfolio and Investment Management application to support its asset management back office operations, with documented usage continuing through 2010. The implementation concentrated on day to day administration for a small asset manager and explicitly covered corporate actions processing and reconciliation workflows. Operational use of SS&C Advent Axys included corporate actions handling and position and cash reconciliations across accounts held with various custodian banks. Back office operations combined Axys core functionality with extensive Excel work for calculation corrections and data remediation, and the team used Axys Moxy interfaces for trade and account administration tasks. Staff initiated account normalization by adding IBAN formatted account numbers into the system to remove the need for daily manual lookups. Integrations were pragmatic and focused on custodian bank interfaces and reconciliation outputs rather than broad enterprise orchestration, keeping the operational scope within the asset management back office. Governance changes were managed at the team level, with back office employees owning reconciliation and account maintenance procedures, and the account normalization effort was reported to save time and money. SS&C Advent Axys served as the central Portfolio and Investment Management system for these back office functions during the 2009 to 2010 period. | |
