Sterling Talent Solutions Legacy Sterling Background Check BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Williams Industrial Services deployed Sterling Background Check to support BackGround Screening within its human resources onboarding and compliance workflows. The implementation was positioned to operationalize candidate screening and pre-employment clearances as part of routine new hire processing handled by HR coordinators across the company. Sterling Background Check was used to process background screenings and to submit drug and alcohol testing applications, integrating screening status into day one onboarding steps such as offer letters, new hire packets, and I9 certification. The deployment aligned screening order management and results handling with staffing activities, and it was operationally embedded in HR tasks that also included FMLA processing, short term disability paperwork, ACA and 401k tracking, and termination workflows. Operationally the Sterling capability was coupled with the companys HR administration practices and the PENTA HRIS environment, where coordinators maintained active headcount, activated and inactivated employees, and performed manual data entry of screening outcomes into vendor and internal systems. Governance remained with the HR function, with coordinators responsible for compliance recordkeeping, processing screenings through Sterling Background Check, and coordinating screening-driven checkpoints across benefits administration, payroll reconciliation, and COBRA and 1095 C reporting.
