Architecturally the implementation used a centralized retail management topology with Oracle Retail (ex Retek) serving as the hub for master data, assortment and pricing decisioning and downstream distribution to execution systems. Integration patterns aligned to the platform included scheduled data feeds and batch synchronization for assortment, pricing and inventory between the central retail system and operational endpoints.
Governance was organized around merchandising and planning process ownership, supported by technical and functional consultancy to deliver configuration, testing and rollout support. The engagement included Oracle Retek technical and functional consultant activities to align business rules, operational workflows and testing across merchandising, supply chain planning and store operations.
