Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Wilson Security implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX as its ERP Financial system to centralize credit and collections workflows for the corporate credit function. The deployment targeted the Group Credit Manager and a team of nine credit staff, governing a customer base of 1,942 accounts and an average total monthly debt portfolio of $101m. Microsoft Dynamics AX was configured to support accounts receivable and credit management capabilities, including collections, debt recovery and risk assessment, management of securities and guarantees, and monthly financial status reporting. Process redesign accompanied system configuration to maximize AX functionality, automating repetitive, time consuming tasks so staff could focus on higher value credit and customer service activities. Operational coverage concentrated on the credit function across Wilson Security business units, with the Group Credit Manager responsible for training, development and monthly reporting to key stakeholders. Governance changes included authoring and rolling out the companys first formal Credit Policy, a policy approved by stakeholders and extended to other divisions such as Parking. The program included a transition away from a custom built AS400 accounts receivable environment to Microsoft Dynamics AX, with explicit emphasis on modifying current processes to align team workflows with ERP capabilities. Reported outcomes included greater automation of repetitive tasks and redeployment of the credit team to value add activities while maintaining collections and credit risk functions.
