In 2018 Woodie’s implemented Access PeopleXD (formerly CoreHR) under the Core HR category to centralize HR, payroll and workforce management functions. The deployment delivered Core HR functionality across Personnel, Payroll, Time & Rostering, Expenses and Talent Management modules, and was provisioned for Woodie’s and its sister company Chadwick’s for company wide HR operations.
Access PeopleXD (formerly CoreHR) deployment included a concurrent implementation of a new learning management system, supporting a blended Learning and Development program that had been built from a green field state to 23 annual training initiatives. The rollout combined classroom training, training roadshows, on the job training, virtual reality training and e learning, and covered accredited programs mapped to the national framework of qualifications, aligning Talent Management with L&D delivery.
Operational coverage extended across HR administration, payroll processing, store level rostering and expenses workflows, with Talent Management used to coordinate development and succession activities. Project management for the HRIS roll out was led internally, and internal communications and company brand values were embedded as part of the program to align adoption and governance.
Governance changes included structured program management for HR technology projects and the introduction of standardized processes for training and event management tied back to the HR system. As an explicit outcome from the broader L&D and HR effort, Woodie’s was named Best Large L&D Organisation at the National Training Awards.

In 2016, Woodie’s implemented Kerridge k8 ERP to centralize Kitchen Sales operations across Woodie’s DIY Ltd, covering 37 retail locations in Ireland. The deployment targeted the Distribution ERP category and focused on standardizing quoting, order conversion and supplier ordering workflows for kitchens and bathrooms sales.
Kerridge k8 ERP was configured to manage quotation generation from CAD drawings, amended requoting, conversion of final quotations to sales orders, deposit taking and the automatic issuance of Purchase Notes to suppliers. The application scope included quoting and selling modules, order management, deposit tracking and supplier purchase note generation, with capabilities to ensure quotations reference only active supplier components.
The implementation included integrations with multiple CAD solutions to allow amended quotations to be created directly from revised drawings, and the solution was designed to sit alongside the existing point of sale system with minimal impact on POS operations. Operational coverage spanned sales, procurement and order planning functions across all 37 sites, enabling suppliers to commence planning once Purchase Notes are issued and allowing real time tracking of customer deposit payments.
