The implementation was configured to surface device telemetry for VMware hosts and Meraki network equipment, and to maintain tracked asset records for desktops, laptops, servers, and multifunction devices. Operationally the Auvik IT Asset Management instance was integrated into existing IT operations patterns, linking discovered assets to Zendesk incident tickets and to Confluence documentation for asset onboarding and troubleshooting. The IT team used the tool in day to day server and network management tasks, supporting Microsoft O365 and Exchange environments, remote support via RDP, and coordination with an external MSP to meet service level needs. Governance and workflow changes centered on keeping the Confluence asset catalog synchronized with Auvik discovery data and routing infrastructure alerts into Zendesk for escalation. The system was also used during the setup of a new company location to inventory and validate network and server assets, and it supported IT operations, desktop support, and executive IT engagement across the organization. |
