| Systems 3000 | Legacy | Visual Finance Systems 3000 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2007 | 2008 | In 2007 Wyckoff Board of Education implemented Visual Finance Systems 3000, deploying an ERP Financial application to centralize school district accounting and reporting. The implementation was positioned to support annual budget development and preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, while maintaining ongoing financial records and transactional posting workflows. Visual Finance Systems 3000 was configured to cover core fund accounting and general ledger functions, accounts payable processing, bank reconciliations and cash management, purchasing and RFP workflows, and grant reporting and compliance. The system was used to generate board documentation including resolutions and the monthly Report of Secretary, and to calculate in district tuition rates with contract creation and invoicing capabilities. Operational scope extended across district business office functions and provided direct support to payroll, accounts payable, maintenance, student activities, preschool and cafeteria operations, and curriculum reporting for the Superintendent. The district also ran surplus item auction administration, electronic payment collection and petty cash processes through the financial framework, and staff were documented as well versed in Systems 3000 Fund Accounting, Genesis, PayForIt and Microsoft Office tools, indicating practical multi system familiarity. Governance and rollout included a web enabled district wide training program and an approved process for purchasing Apps for the district, maintenance of a Standard Operating Procedures Purchasing Manual, and cross training of staff in payroll, accounts payable and student registers. Visual Finance Systems 3000 supported preparation of statutory reports such as ASSA, DRTRS, Transfer Report, Bills List and Aid in Lieu checks, and coordinated federal, state and local grant applications and reporting with nonpublic schools. The implementation narrative includes district level financial stewardship details, including contribution to a district school bond refunding that netted savings in excess of approximately $3,000,000, and operational support for summer school and other programs. Visual Finance Systems 3000 remains described in the district context as the ERP Financial application used to centralize accounting, purchasing and fiscal reporting workflows. |
