In 2020, Yelp implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to address its ERP Financial needs across corporate finance functions. The deployment focused on core Oracle Cloud Financials and Record to Report workflows, positioning Oracle Cloud ERP as the central system for accounting, receivables, and financial close processes.
The implementation delivered explicit functional modules including Oracle Cloud Financial Accounting Hub, Oracle Cloud Financials, Oracle Receivables and a phased Record to Report program with Phase 1 completed and Phase 2 led by the internal team. Yelp reengineered the chart of accounts design and developed an acquisition configuration model as part of the configuration work, and the team presented Oracle upgrade plans to finance leadership during the program.
Operationally the architecture involved third party hosting and close coordination with hosting providers, with weekly meetings with NaviSite and Oracle Corp to resolve implementation issues. Reporting infrastructure was extended by designing a pipeline to move Oracle Receivables data into Amazon Redshift, creating a downstream analytics path from Oracle Cloud ERP to the company data warehouse.
Governance and runbook activities were institutionalized through FinSys support, daily standups, sprint planning, and bi weekly finance leadership reviews to track support status and issue remediation. The program also included leading Yelp internal and external audit activities, mentoring cross functional teams on business processes and implementation practices, and ongoing ownership of support and configuration across finance operations.

| Employ | Legacy | Lever by Employ | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014 Yelp implemented Lever by Employ as its Applicant Tracking System. Lever by Employ was embedded into Yelp's public careers site to capture candidate applications and to provision the end to end apply flow through Lever-hosted job pages.
The implementation centralized candidate lifecycle management, aligning requisition posting, candidate tracking across configurable pipelines, interview scheduling, collaborative hiring workflows, and offer tracking consistent with Applicant Tracking System functionality. Lever by Employ was configured to manage job postings and application intake directly through Yelp's careers experience, giving recruiters and hiring managers unified access to applicant records and activity streams.
Operational coverage focused on corporate recruiting and talent acquisition teams, with applicants routed from the website into the Lever by Employ environment for review and workflow orchestration. Governance centered on standardized hiring workflows and recruiter managed pipelines to ensure coordinated screening, interview coordination, and offer processes across Yelp's recruiting organization.

| Apache Software | Legacy | Apache Spark MLlib | ML and Data Science Platforms | AI Development | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Yelp implemented Apache Spark MLlib as the core engine within its ML and Data Science Platforms to support Ad Targeting, training models from billions of ad impressions and scaling gradient boosted trees with more than three million nodes. Yelp used Apache Spark MLlib to operationalize many stages of its large scale machine learning pipeline for advertising, embedding the application directly in model training, feature preparation, visualization and diagnostics workflows.
The implementation emphasized large scale feature engineering and model training capabilities, with Apache Spark MLlib configured to execute distributed feature transformations, iterative algorithm training and model evaluation at scale. Functional capabilities explicitly included feature engineering, visualizations for model diagnostics, supervised learning training flows such as gradient boosted tree training, and model evaluation and diagnostics to validate candidate models prior to production rollout.
Architecture and operational coverage focused on distributed Spark cluster execution across Yelp data science and ML engineering teams, integrating the ML and Data Science Platforms into advertising model pipelines to support Ad Targeting business functions. The deployment covered multi stage batch pipelines for feature extraction and model training, and analytics oriented visualization stages for diagnostics and evaluation, reflecting a production oriented architecture for large scale advertising workloads.
Governance and rollout centered on model evaluation and diagnostics as primary controls, and the project documented challenges in building and deploying a large scale intelligent system in production, which shaped operational practices for monitoring, evaluation and iterative model improvement. The narrative for Yelp highlights Apache Spark MLlib as the deployed application, within the ML and Data Science Platforms category, applied specifically to Ad Targeting and associated data science and engineering processes.
