In 2025, Zurich Canada activated Interac e-Transfer for Business on the DreamPay platform to deliver real-time claims payouts to policyholders using DreamPay Payment Processing, a Payment Processing application. The implementation went live in Canada in 2025 and centralized the insurer payout rail within the DreamPay Payment Processing environment to support insurance claims payout workflows.
The deployment leveraged the DreamPay Payment Processing platform to provision Interac e-Transfer for Business rails for immediate disbursements, with configuration aligned to claims payout orchestration and reconciliation processing. Functional capabilities implemented included real-time payout routing, settlement via the Interac network, and reconciliation feed generation to support treasury operations and payment lifecycle tracking.
Operational scope covered claims operations, policyholder servicing, and treasury and reconciliation teams at Zurich Canada, with rollout focused on Canadian claims payouts. The implementation changed payout execution processes and reduced treasury and reconciliation friction for Zurich while improving speed and convenience for claimants as reported.
