In 2015 Zyllem implemented Xero as its ERP Financial system to centralize accounting for customer receipts, bank transfers, PayPal transactions, and payments to drivers. The deployment targeted finance, operations, and customer support functions and supported day to day coordination between the deliveries platform, forwarder service providers, and the internal software IT department for system upgrades and improvements.
Xero was configured to support core ERP Financial workflows including daily receipt entry, accounts receivable monitoring, and recording payments to drivers and riders. Configuration emphasized transaction level recording for cheques, bank transfers, and PayPal receipts, and included the production of remittance advices after bank transfers to drivers, preserving an auditable payment trail in Xero.
Operational processes were structured so that customer service handled inbound and outbound internet telephone calls using the Zendesk system to resolve delivery incidents and driver queries, while finance staff entered and reconciled receipts in Xero on a daily cadence. The implementation covered account monitoring activities, including investigation of non payments and delayed payments, tying customer account status to accounting entries recorded in Xero.
Governance was enforced through daily operational handoffs between operations, finance, and IT, plus documented workflows for receipt capture, payment execution, and remittance notification. Outcomes reported within the implementation scope included rebuilt trust with customers and drivers through active case handling and restored communications, and consistent recording of payments and remittance information in Xero, aligning Zyllem Xero ERP Financial accounting and payments processes with operational workflows in Singapore.
