Fujitsu | Manufacturing | 113000 | $23.4B | Japan | Cority Software | Cority Greenstone Enterprise | Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) | 2017 | n/a |
In 2017, Fujitsu deployed Cority Greenstone Enterprise to centralize its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting and establish a standardized global sustainability data collection capability. The initial implementation targeted Fujitsu’s UK operations across 60 sites and the deployment later scaled to cover four global divisions in 18 countries and 400 sites, creating a governed foundation for enterprise non financial reporting.
The implementation configured Cority Greenstone Enterprise’s Environment module and CSR Module to capture and calculate energy, business travel, waste, and water emissions, and to track consumption and emissions targets over time. The sustainability reporting software was used to generate management analytics, standardized KPI datasets, and regulatory and voluntary reports, supporting both internal decision making and external disclosure workflows.
Operationally the system consolidated site level submissions into a centralized reporting feed, with data routed to Fujitsu Headquarters in Japan for aggregation and inclusion in the Fujitsu Group annual Environmental report. Collected datasets were also used to fulfill external reporting requirements including Business in the Community, GRI, and ISO 26000, which required consistency and auditability across regions and sites.
Fujitsu selected Greenstone’s Enterprise solution based on the product’s depth of functionality and proven experience delivering non financial reporting to tier one clients, and executed a staged rollout from the UK to additional global divisions. Governance changes emphasized standardized KPI definitions and a single source of truth for Responsible Business and Community metrics, and the Fujitsu Greenstone partnership extended to client advisory work on Green IT as an exemplar sustainability practice.

Cority Greenstone Enterprise was deployed alongside Greenstone SupplierPortal to provide modular capabilities for data collection, emissions accounting across all three GHG scopes, waste and energy tracking, and supplier assessment. The implementation included migration of historical environmental datasets into the Cority Greenstone Enterprise platform, configuration of user group permissions to expose role-specific data views, and establishment of a new supplier assessment benchmark to capture sustainability and compliance metrics.
Operational ownership centered on Hypertherm’s three person environmental stewardship team and a distributed network of internal Green Champions drawn from all departments, with procurement and supplier management processes explicitly brought into scope. The SupplierPortal was extended to the direct supply chain to increase transparency, enable broader supplier engagement on topics including conflict minerals, and to bring Scope 3 supplier and customer data into the company ESG program.
Governance changes included formalized user training for Green Champions, permissioned access to curated data views, and the introduction of supplier benchmarking aligned to corporate requirements across environment, health and safety, anti bribery and corruption, labor practices, product compliance and information security. As a result Hypertherm reported streamlined data collection and faster access to validated datasets, improved ability to analyze and report on KPIs, greater supplier transparency, and an operational foundation to set and communicate its 2030 ESG goals.
