Banco Multiva | Banking and Financial Services | 1000 | $150M | Mexico | Google Cloud Datastore | Database Management | 2021 | n/a |
In 2021 Banco Multiva implemented Google Cloud Datastore as a Database Management component to support its microservices and DevOps platform in Mexico. The implementation was executed as part of 2021 to 2022 microservices and DevOps activities led by the bank, and Google Cloud Datastore was positioned to provide scalable document storage alongside SQL Server and MongoDB within the overall data architecture.
The deployment integrated Quarkus based services and Google Cloud Functions to host stateless business logic, and secure APIs were designed with single sign on to centralize authentication for internal and customer facing services. Information management workflows routed analytical and reporting data into BigQuery while Google Cloud Datastore served application level object persistence, and persistence frameworks included Hibernate and JPA to standardize data access patterns.
Infrastructure automation and runtime operations were implemented using Terraform and Ansible to provision GCP resources and configuration, containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes and Openshift to run services, and application servers such as EAP, Jetty, and Wildfly to support legacy Java workloads. CI CD pipelines were instrumented with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus and integrated quality and test tooling including SonarQube, JaCoCo, JUnit, Cucumber and Selenium, while monitoring and observability used Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
Governance centered on DevOps pipelines, infrastructure as code, and API security controls to enforce release quality and access policies across development and production environments. The implementation connected Google Cloud Datastore to a broader Database Management fabric that aligned application development, operations and data teams through standardized persistence patterns, automated provisioning, and centralized monitoring.

Telkomsel | Communications | 6455 | $6.1B | Indonesia | Google Cloud Datastore | Database Management | 2024 | Devoteam |
In 2024, Telkomsel implemented Google Cloud Datastore as a core Database Management capability to centralize enterprise records that feed new generative AI services across employee and customer channels. The deployment was scoped to support MyTelkomsel and myEnterprise search assistants while also serving as a persistent store for internal operational tooling and content used in RCS Business Messaging and Telkomsel MyAds integrations.
Google Cloud Datastore was configured alongside Google Cloud BigQuery and integrated with Vertex AI and Vertex AI Search to enable natural language understanding, auto-completion, and conversational exploration in customer and employee interfaces. Functional capabilities implemented include conversational agent support for the MOANA operations hub, an enterprise search assistant for MyTelkomsel and myEnterprise, and a gen AI-powered content management workflow for Rich Communication Services, all using Datastore as a structured data backbone.
The implementation architecture links Google Cloud Datastore with Vertex AI Search and Gemini models for inference and relevance ranking, and with BigQuery for analytical workloads, enabling a hybrid operational model of transactional and analytical stores. Integrations and operational coverage span HR, network planning, product development, sales, and customer support, with the MOANA app providing real-time assistance to more than 6,000 employees and the myEnterprise assistant serving corporate clients for B2B account management.
Deployment and governance included partner support from Devoteam for the MyTelkomsel search assistant and from PT Metrodata Electronics for the MOANA conversational agent and corporate helpdesk features. Rollout tied Datastore governance to knowledge management and workflow changes that push HR and support tasks into the conversational layer, and Telkomsel expects improved employee satisfaction and faster customer issue resolution as explicitly stated in the deployment announcement.
