New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Government 13000 $3.8B United States Interloc Solutions Informer UX Suite Mobility Field Service Management 2021 n/a
In 2021, the New York City Housing Authority implemented Informer UX Suite Mobility as a Field Service Management solution to mobilize work execution across its maintenance estate. The implementation addressed an environment that managed 170,000 apartments, over 500,000 assets, and processed more than 100,000 work orders daily, replacing a 100 percent paper based maintenance process and supporting what Interloc Solutions described as the largest Maximo mobility implementation to date. Informer UX Suite Mobility was configured to capture full field workflows, including attachments and documentation updates, digital signatures, labor entries, inspections, and continuous work logs, with native mobile creation, update, and completion of work orders. Devices were provisioned to support large offline datasets, routinely holding between 5,000 and 10,000 work orders with some devices supporting up to 100,000 work orders offline, and the deployment served 5,000 work management users, 1,500 users active during a given work hour, and 200 inventory users. Architecturally the solution operates directly within Maximo native architecture, avoiding middleware layers and maintaining data integrity and system stability while processing high volumes of transactions continuously. The Informer UX Suite Mobility integration into Maximo was designed for unreliable connectivity, high concurrency, and real time synchronization, enabling automatic information flow from field devices into core maintenance records and preserving Maximo as the system of record. Governance and operational change focused on mobilizing supervisors and trades, shifting assignment and progress monitoring from desks to the field, and consolidating the full work order lifecycle into a single mobile enabled process from creation through completion. Within the first year the authority reported elimination of many manual processes, same day completion in many cases where work previously took months, reclaimed labor hours from data entry, millions of dollars in returned value, and faster service delivery to residents, demonstrating scalable Field Service Management capability at municipal scale.
