In 2021 Oriental Insurance Company implemented INLIAS Core Insurance, an Insurance ERP, into its centralized architecture that supports approximately 1800 offices. The implementation addressed very high operational volumes, with procurement noting daily throughput near 40,000 documents and routine generation of about 50,000 transaction reports and 25,000 non transaction reports required to sustain policy issuance, claim processing and claim payments.
The deployment of INLIAS Core Insurance focused on core insurance processing capabilities aligned to underwriting, policy issuance and claims administration, combined with integrated document management workflows. The RFP and subsequent record specify an ECM integration as a required capability, enabling document capture, approval routing and report orchestration inside the INLIAS application to support end to end process flows.
Integrations were designed around the ECM Integrations clause which states the ECM solution shall be integrated with INLIAS Core Insurance so documents required at each process step can be captured and checked or approved seamlessly. The integration provides portal interfaces for customers, agents and surveyors to upload and view documents for claims and underwriting, and it sits inside the centralized architecture that serves the 1800 office footprint.
Governance and process redesign emphasized improved business quality and response timing as defined in the scope of work, with the ECM integration used to enforce document checks and approval gates within operational workflows. The RFP and record explicitly indicate this configuration would provide convenience to external portal users and would create and have a profitable impact on the overall business in India as well as at an international level.
