Moog Aerospace and Defense 13500 $3.6B United States iBASET iBASEt Solumina MES Manufacturing Execution System 2018 n/a In 2018, Moog implemented iBASEt Solumina MES. iBASEt Solumina MES is a Manufacturing Execution System deployed as part of a global program that linked manufacturing execution and quality management to enterprise systems. The implementation emphasized MES and QMS capabilities within Solumina, including shop floor execution, electronic work instructions, production routing and traceability, and quality inspection and nonconformance workflows. Configuration work focused on aligning Solumina functional modules to engineering and production process flows used to design, build, and maintain aerospace and defense motion control products. Solumina was interfaced with SAP S/4 HANA and Teamcenter, establishing bidirectional handoffs for production orders, part and BOM data, and engineering change information. The integration architecture supported end to end process continuity across ERP, MES QMS, and PLM systems, and it was positioned to serve engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions at Moog’s global sites. Governance and process workstreams were run through a quality systems analyst model, where analysts identified, evaluated, and documented requirements for business process change and translated those into Solumina configurations and procedures. Ongoing responsibilities included process support for users, requirements change control for MES and QMS processes, and coordination with ERP and PLM stewards to maintain aligned workflows.
