Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation implemented Box AI for Documents and Notes in Content Management to support secure summarization and question and answer capabilities for engineering and technical documentation across its global user base. The implementation centers on Box AI for Documents and Notes, providing generative AI summarization, Q&A, and assisted content creation functions directly in the Box Content Cloud. Box AI is being used to produce routine business documents and to generate secure summaries of highly confidential technical files, establishing a persistent AI-enabled layer on top of existing content repositories. Architecturally, Box AI brings foundational models into the Box Content Cloud through a platform neutral framework that is designed to connect with leading large language model services, including Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and Google Cloud Vertex AI, and exposes Box AI APIs for programmatic integration. Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation entered this deployment from an existing Box footprint that began in 2018, and the company now leverages Box AI against a repository of more than 900 million files accessed by over 14,000 users globally. Governance and security are explicit components of the rollout, with Box AI employed under enterprise grade security and access controls to protect sensitive technical information. The introduction of unlimited user queries for Enterprise Plus customers in 2024 supports wider adoption, and the implementation is positioned to standardize knowledge retrieval workflows and improve productivity in document intensive business functions without altering stated security postures.
