DOW Technologies | Distribution | 100 | $30M | United States | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics NAV | ERP Financial | 2008 | Innovia Consulting | In 2008 DOW Technologies implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial application. By 2014 the company had deployed NAV 2009 and later upgraded to NAV 2017, and the upgraded NAV environment became the focal point for addressing accumulated customizations and support requests driven by a partner acquisition and subsequent staff transitions. DOW’s NAV implementation emphasized customizability and ease of use to support its distribution business, and the environment included bespoke modifications that tracked customer- and retailer-specific commercial rules. Innovia Consulting was engaged as the systems integrator to clear a long-standing support ticket backlog and to move the program from reactive maintenance to feature delivery. Innovia’s team triaged and resolved configuration and code-change tickets, and the partner introduced ISV recommendations intended to reduce future custom code while preserving solution flexibility. Two major functional capability projects were advanced inside Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The first project implements a flexible instant rebates capability that applies different manufacturer rebate handling by retailer and maintains traceability at the customer level. The second project builds a customer loyalty program inside NAV that awards and redeems points based on purchasing behavior, keeping customer engagement and reward accounting within the ERP Financial system. Operational coverage spans distribution, finance, sales order processing, and customer service workflows, with Innovia providing daily support leadership under support lead Holly Kutil. Innovia closed roughly 80 percent of the outstanding NAV 2017 tickets within weeks and completed the remaining backlog within six months, after which attention shifted to new feature development and ISV adoption. The engagement reframed governance from an unresponsive support model to an active support and feature-delivery cadence, enabling DOW to operationalize rebate and loyalty capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Busch Systems | Professional Services | 100 | $20M | Canada | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics NAV | ERP Financial | 2019 | Innovia Consulting | In 2019, Busch Systems reimplemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial system to move off a highly customized NAV installation and re-establish baseline functionality. The reimplementation explicitly prioritized Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 core capabilities to reduce customization sprawl and to align ERP behavior with standardized financial and manufacturing workflows. The implementation focused on core financials, manufacturing operations, order fulfillment and purchasing, using Microsoft Dynamics NAV as the central application for transactional processing and inventory control. Innovia Consulting provided process development leadership for order fulfillment and purchasing, and delivered manufacturing expertise and training while Busch’s internal team executed the bulk of the project with Innovia in a supporting role. Innovia guided selection and integration of ISV solutions, including Insight Works WMS to streamline the shipping process, and advised on additional ISV options to avoid custom code where possible. Operational coverage extended across operations, manufacturing shop floor activities, shipping and finance teams, with NAV serving as the system of record for sales, purchasing and warehouse processes. Governance and process changes were explicit project goals, the team instituted a decision model to evaluate customization requests against process change, and emphasized knowledge transfer. Innovia Consulting delivered onsite specialists and training, and Busch adopted an internal support model for daily help requests and ongoing configuration decisions. Today Busch Systems runs an updated Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment with up-to-date features, smoother operations and faster shipping, and the company is planning a new configurator to support customized bin products. The ERP Financial implementation positions NAV to support Busch’s manufacturing and recycling product lines, with Innovia providing ongoing advisory and implementation support.
