Adient | Automotive | 70000 | $15.4B | Ireland | FIS Global | FIS Treasury and Risk Manager - Quantum Edition | Treasury Management | 2015 | n/a | In 2015 Adient began implementation of FIS Treasury and Risk Manager - Quantum Edition as its Treasury Management solution following the announced spinoff from Johnson Controls. The program was scoped to deliver a standalone treasury function for the newly formed Adient by July 2016, encompassing payments, bank structures, regulatory reporting and day to day treasury operations separated from the former corporate entity. Adient cloned its existing Quantum environment and replicated the Trax payment factory, accelerating an upgrade to Quantum version 6.2 before cloning to secure updated functionality and performance. The FIS Treasury and Risk Manager - Quantum Edition deployment was configured to support EMIR reporting and hedge accounting capabilities, while Trax served as the centralized payment factory with SWIFT connectivity implemented across 35 countries. The FIS hosted infrastructure was migrated to the United Kingdom and the replicated environments were integrated with external market and liquidity endpoints, explicitly including SWIFT, the online dealing platform FXall and the market information provider Bloomberg as part of cutover testing. Bank onboarding replicated Johnson Controls bank relationships for Adient, aligning new BIC issuance and account configuration to enable cross border payments and payment factory processing across jurisdictions. Project governance combined a dedicated project manager, disciplined change control and regular status reporting to manage interdependencies with the broader spinoff program, and external consultants were engaged to supplement internal treasury skills. Resource planning split treasury personnel between the two resultant organizations so that parallel treasury teams retained operational capacity while delivering the compressed implementation timeline. The program completed on schedule with the Quantum upgrade, infrastructure replication and SWIFT connectivity finalized on July 1 2016, delivering a functioning treasury stack for Adient. Explicit project risks documented during execution included the sheer scale of work, the interaction of the treasury sub stream with other divestiture workstreams and the challenge of balancing project staffing without degrading daily treasury operations.

Adient Belgium | Transportation | 250 | $30M | Belgium | FIS Global | FIS Treasury and Risk Manager - Quantum Edition | Treasury Management | 2016 | n/a | In 2016, Adient Belgium implemented FIS Treasury and Risk Manager - Quantum Edition to support Treasury Management. The deployment targeted the Brussels treasury center and extended operational support across EMEA operating entities, providing a centralized platform for cash administration and treasury control. The implementation focused on core treasury workflows including daily cash management, bank account administration, weekly netting cycles, transaction confirmation, month end closing, and bank reconciliations. FIS Treasury and Risk Manager - Quantum Edition was configured to handle cash positioning and reconciliation processes, to verify front office transactions through independent back office confirmation flows, and to produce monthly cash summaries for middle office reporting and treasury analysis. Integrations were executed with bank connectivity and payments rails already in scope, specifically SWIFT messaging and FIS TRAX for bank relations and cash transaction monitoring, and with FX-All for related FX transaction processing. The program included organization and coordination with BMG for day to day bank relationship management, static data provisioning, and user profile administration to ensure operational connectivity and secure user access across entities. Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, with stewardship over internal procedures for opening and closing bank accounts across the EMEA region, supervision of weekly netting operations, and responsibility for daily and month end close activities. The treasury team maintained reporting and ad hoc analysis support to the Treasury Director and the Treasurer EMEA, and applied the same system setup to the new Adient spin off entity as part of operational rollout and stabilization.
