Johnson County Community College | Education | 3028 | $526M | United States | Ellucian | Ellucian Banner Human Resources | Core HR | 2014 | n/a | In 2014, Johnson County Community College implemented Ellucian Banner Human Resources as its Core HR application to centralize employee records and human capital processes across the institution. The deployment was performed as part of a broader Banner ecosystem already used for finance, budget, student, financial aid and payroll functions, positioning Banner Human Resources as the authoritative HR data store for the college. Ellucian Banner Human Resources was configured to manage core HR capabilities typical for higher education, including personnel records management, position control, benefits administration, HR transactional workflows and institutional reporting. The implementation incorporated employee self service and HR staff workflows to support hire to retire processes, and leveraged Banner reporting tools for compliance and operational analytics. Operationally the HR application was integrated with Banner payroll and Banner finance and budget modules, enabling record level linkages between personnel, payroll costs and budgeting lines. The solution supported cross functional use by HR, payroll and finance teams and connected to student and financial aid modules within the Banner estate where staff assignments and administrative roles required alignment. Governance for the Ellucian Banner Human Resources implementation emphasized centralized HR data stewardship, role based access controls and standardized HR workflows to reduce data fragmentation across campus departments. Rollout and operationalization focused on institutional reporting consistency and aligning HR processes with existing Banner financial and student administration processes. | |
