Alltech Ireland Consumer Packaged Goods 110 $35M Ireland Microsoft Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Supply Chain Management 2024 n/a In 2024, Alltech Ireland deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management as the operations cornerstone of its next generation global ERP platform. The implementation was driven by an operations focused scope and targeted Supply Chain Management capabilities that support Bill of Materials control, production scheduling, inventory management, and production planning across EMEA production sites that historically included U.K., Belgium, Turkey, Russia, South Africa, and Spain. The deployment emphasized template based configuration and standards, with the ERP Functional Analyst for Operations conducting fit gap analysis and performing system configuration and setup per the deployment template. Functional modules explicitly implemented include Bill of Materials and Product Information Management, production scheduling workflows, inventory control and quality related process configuration, while category aligned capabilities such as master planning and warehouse management were reflected in design artifacts and test scenarios. Integration and operational coverage were managed through close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, integrators, and the enterprise data team, and the implementation workstreams produced functional design documents to capture requirements. The project drew on historical Bill of Materials and Product Information Management definitions that had been controlled in Macola ERP and AX2012 R3 for Alltech EMEA production sites to inform data migration and configuration decisions, while integration patterns focused on aligning operational data flows and testable interfaces rather than introducing new named third party connectors. Governance and rollout followed structured testing and cutover disciplines, with the team responsible for documenting defects, assisting key users in testing, delivering key user training, and providing Go Live support. The narrative centers on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management as the enterprise Supply Chain Management solution, Alltech Ireland as the deploying organization, and the operational functions of Operations, Inventory, Quality, Regulatory, and Production as primary business functions impacted.
Alpi Manufacturing 230 $35M Italy BuyCo BuyCo Onsite Real-Time Transportation Visibility 2020 n/a In 2020, Alpi deployed BuyCo Onsite to provide Real-Time Transportation Visibility for its container logistics operations. The implementation centralized a headquarters operations dashboard that aggregates continuous shipment status updates, enabling live container tracking, event-driven status feeds, and anomaly detection workflows. BuyCo Onsite was configured to deliver push updates and a unified operational view of container locations and transit milestones, supporting logistics planning, exception management, and real-time monitoring. Operational coverage focused on container logistics managed from Alpi's headquarters and impacted logistics and operations teams responsible for shipment monitoring and issue resolution. Governance introduced real-time alerting and formal case escalation procedures, restructuring workflows to prioritize rapid anomaly response, and according to Alpi's logistics manager this reduced errors and improved the ability to solve crucial issues and anomalies. BuyCo Onsite Real-Time Transportation Visibility therefore serves as a centralized operational layer for continuous status visibility and incident handling of container movements.
