Aerospacelab Aerospace and Defense 269 $40M Belgium Odoo Odoo Fleet Fleet Management 2025 n/a In 2025, Aerospacelab implemented Odoo Fleet as part of its broader Odoo rollout. Odoo Fleet, deployed on Odoo.sh, was installed to manage company vehicles and asset operations within the Fleet Management category. The deployment of Odoo Fleet was configured by Aerospacelab’s in-house business analyst and developer team, extending the existing Odoo footprint that includes Accounting, Purchase, Approvals, Inventory, Manufacturing, CRM, Quality, Maintenance, Time Off, Expenses, Helpdesk, Sales, Planning, Sign, Appraisals, Recruitment, CMS, Project, and Timesheets. Core Fleet Management capabilities were enabled to maintain vehicle records, schedule and track maintenance activities, and consolidate asset-related cost and usage data, leveraging standard Odoo Fleet functionality aligned to the company’s modular architecture. Odoo Fleet was integrated within the single Odoo instance to share master data and transactional flows with Maintenance, Accounting, Inventory, Purchase, HR modules such as Time Off and Timesheets, and Project management. The implementation covered Aerospacelab’s international footprint including factories and offices across Belgium, France, Switzerland, and the United States, and was provisioned for the organization’s 250 plus Odoo users under the Odoo.sh hosting model. Governance followed Aerospacelab’s phased, agile rollout approach, initially limiting access during foundation consolidation and then extending module access company wide while maintaining continuous internal documentation. Training sessions and iterative releases were used to drive adoption, and documented benefits of the consolidated Odoo environment include centralized operations, simplified cross-functional training, and unified employee and asset management through Odoo Fleet.
Aerospacelab Aerospace and Defense 269 $40M Belgium Odoo Odoo Project Management Project Portfolio Management 2025 n/a In 2025 Aerospacelab deployed Odoo Project Management as a centralized project and timesheet solution within its broader Odoo suite, categorizing the work under Project Portfolio Management to support engineering, manufacturing and program delivery workflows. The deployment runs on Odoo.sh hosting and complements an existing multi-application footprint at Aerospacelab that includes Accounting, Purchase, Approvals, Inventory, Manufacturing, CRM, Quality, Maintenance, Time Off, Expenses, Helpdesk, Sales, Planning, Sign, Appraisals, Recruitment, Fleet, CMS, Timesheets and related modules. Aerospacelab operates factories in Belgium, France and Switzerland and offices across Europe and the USA, and the 269 employee environment informed a modular approach to scale processes across seven timezones and four international branches. The implementation was executed by an internal business analyst and developer team that followed an agile, phased rollout model, installing standard modules first, integrating existing data, and iterating with small complementary features before progressing to deeper process changes. Odoo Project Management was broadened to all employees within the project and timesheet scope less than a year after initial foundation modules, with configuration focused on project activities, task tracking, timesheet capture, budget visibility and resource planning common to Project Portfolio Management. Continuous internal documentation and staged user onboarding supported adoption while enabling early user feedback to drive subsequent releases. Integration work emphasized native application consolidation rather than bespoke external connectors, leveraging the Odoo suite to unify purchasing, inventory, manufacturing and CRM data flows with project and timesheet records to support cost and effort aggregation for projects. Access permissions and security were defined team by team to balance usability with data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration was enforced through shared workflows spanning engineering, operations, procurement and customer-facing teams. The Project Portfolio Management deployment therefore operates as a unified layer tying project financials and operational execution into Aerospacelab’s single Odoo instance. Governance relied on iterative process definition, regular training sessions and governance gates for each phase, enabling Aerospacelab to centralize HR functions, simplify website management via the CMS and standardize helpdesk and approval workflows. Explicit outcomes reported by the company include centralized operations, reduced tool sprawl, improved product traceability and quality management, streamlined helpdesk responsiveness and scalable employee management, all delivered through Odoo Project Management within the broader Project Portfolio Management estate.
