The IBM PowerVM implementation was integrated into the existing data center topology to provide virtualized compute pools, workload consolidation and to ready the estate for future SAP system updates and SAP HANA migration. Aricoma Systems served as the certified IT partner responsible for the professional implementation and migration activities, executing a full application and operating system migration onto the new POWER10 infrastructure. Ongoing operations are supported by a service contract to maintain availability and platform stability post cutover. Operational verification included testing of high-availability configurations and disaster recovery processes on the IBM Power platform, and migration support was part of the delivery scope. Documented benefits from the implementation include modern technologies with high standards of safety and quality, an environment ready for SAP system updates and further development, leveraging existing IBM Power platform experience for easier integration, and higher capacity and performance across the consolidated environment.
