Ingram Micro | Distribution | 23500 | $48.0B | United States | OneStream Software LLC | OneStream XF | EPM | 2021 |
In 2021, Ingram Micro implemented OneStream XF for core financial consolidation and planning. The deployment targeted the EPM category and aimed to address a fragmented Oracle Hyperion footprint that included Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Profitability and Cost Management, as well as adjacent tooling such as Trintech for account reconciliations and Qlik for reporting. Ingram Micro operates globally across 61 countries with approximately 200 legal entities, and the project was scoped to support consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis across that multi‑ERP landscape. The decision followed a proof of concept with Oracle EPM Cloud that failed to meet allocation performance and reconciliation needs, leading to selection of OneStream XF for its ability to handle large volumes of data.
The OneStream XF implementation was deployed in the Microsoft Azure cloud for financial consolidation and budgeting. Ingram Micro extended the platform with People Planning, Capital Planning, and the Account Reconciliation solution from the OneStream MarketPlace, and retained a roadmap to bring profitability into OneStream in Q4 2022. The project was executed by Ingram Micros internal Financial Systems and Processes team, supplemented by consultants from Bart & Partners and supported by OneStream Services, which kept ownership of configuration and business rules within the corporation while leveraging partner expertise. Configuration work focused on consolidation engines, allocation rules, driver‑based planning models, and OneStream MarketPlace integrations.
Architecturally the implementation centralized financial logic on OneStream XF while integrating data feeds from numerous ERP instances around the world, moving away from a strictly batch oriented ETL pattern. Previously country systems pushed data in two hour windows into Hyperion, now users can initiate on demand loads into OneStream XF which shortened the latency from journal posting to consolidation from two hours to approximately five minutes. The deployment consolidated reconciliation and budgeting workflows onto the OneStream platform, reducing reliance on fragmented external tools and providing unified dashboarding for country and line of business analysis.
Governance and operational processes were restructured to enable self service data refreshes and more frequent planning cadences. The internal team standardized allocation definitions and configured reusable templates so onboarding a new country no longer required rebuilding a profitability application, it required adding country specific vendor and customer data. User adoption was planned and rolled out incrementally, with over 1,000 users active at go live and an expected increase to about 1,100 within the year. Change management emphasized rapid refresh capability and delegated analytic access so countries could perform local analysis on a common data model.
Explicit outcomes documented by Ingram Micro include significant speed improvements for allocation and refresh processes, with allocation runtimes reduced from eight hours to 10 to 20 minutes and an end to end process that previously took 56 hours reduced to eight hours and now to a roughly 20 minute refresh for users. The implementation improved scalability for onboarding new countries compared to prior HPCM builds that required three to four months, and delivered stronger technical reliability and reduced escalations according to Ingram Micros Financial Systems leadership. Future plans include additional MarketPlace solutions such as Task Manager and Application Control Manager, six to 12 month trend analysis in OneStream XF, and exploration of OneStreams Sensible Machine Learning capabilities.

Ingram Micro | Distribution | 23500 | $48.0B | United States | OneStream Software LLC | OneStream XF SmartCPM | Financial Consolidation and Close | 2021 |
In 2021, Ingram Micro implemented OneStream XF SmartCPM in Microsoft Azure for Financial Consolidation and Close. The global finance program targeted consolidation, budgeting, and profitability capabilities and was managed by the internal Financial Systems & Processes team, supplemented by consultants from Bart & Partners. The implementation covered the companys global finance organization and focused on standardizing reporting and planning workflows across regions and business units.
OneStream XF SmartCPM was configured to deliver unified financial consolidation, budgeting, and profitability analysis within a cloud-hosted Microsoft Azure architecture. The deployment centralized data stores and calculation processing to enforce consistent consolidation rules and to support iterative budgeting cycles, while leveraging the SmartCPM framework for extensible profitability modeling and allocation processing. Configuration emphasized allocation engines and automated data refresh orchestration consistent with Financial Consolidation and Close functional workflows.
Operational coverage included consolidation, budgeting, and profitability reporting for Ingram Micros finance organization, with the Financial Systems & Processes team retaining program governance and Bart & Partners providing implementation consulting and configuration services. The Azure deployment supported improved orchestration of refresh jobs and allocation runs, enabling more granular management reporting.
Governance remained with the internal Financial Systems & Processes team, which managed rollout sequencing and ongoing process ownership, while Bart & Partners assisted with delivery and configuration. OneStream XF SmartCPM materially shortened allocation and run times from hours or overnight to roughly 10 to 20 minutes and enabled faster, more granular profitability and management reporting.
