Varley Group | Manufacturing | 1200 | $145M | Australia | Adobe Systems | Adobe Commerce (ex Magento) | eCommerce | 2018 | In 2018 Varley Group implemented Adobe Commerce (ex Magento) as its eCommerce platform for the EMC Electric Vehicles brand, integrating the storefront with Epicor ERP through Epicor Commerce Connect. Epicor and implementation partner Biscit executed the project and completed core integration and go-live in approximately four months. The implementation used Epicor Commerce Connect to orchestrate data flows between Adobe Commerce (ex Magento) and Epicor ERP, creating a single source of truth for product information, pricing, inventory availability, and accounting entries. Functional capabilities delivered included an online product and parts catalog, cart and checkout workflows, and custom payment handling logic to address PayPal fee calculations. Work also established the technical foundation for a vehicle configurator to capture options, paint selections, and the ability to purchase a complete vehicle online. Explicit integrations included Epicor ERP for order management, inventory synchronization, and financial posting, and PayPal for payment processing, with Biscit responsible for backend coding to ensure seamless communication and correct fee accounting. The initial operational scope targeted the EMC Electric Vehicles business unit with a roadmap to expand Adobe Commerce (ex Magento) across the Varley Group. Business functions impacted included commerce operations, sales channels, marketing, customer service, and finance. Governance and rollout followed a vendor and partner collaboration model, with Epicor providing Commerce Connect and Biscit implementing integration components while Varley managed product configuration and pricing governance. Project outcomes documented in the implementation narrative included faster transaction processing, improved customer satisfaction, repeat purchases at around 20 percent of online orders, and increasing website traffic. The Varley Group Adobe Commerce (ex Magento) eCommerce deployment aligned online storefront activity with back-office ERP processes to support differentiated competitive positioning in the electric vehicles market.

The Casino Food Co-op, formerly Northern Co-operative Meat Company | Consumer Packaged Goods | 1100 | $154M | Australia | Epicor | DocStar Enterprise Content Management | Document Management | 2021 | In 2021 The Casino Food Co-op implemented DocStar Enterprise Content Management as a Document Management solution to address high-volume manual payment processing and paper waste. The project was delivered by Biscit and integrated with the organisation’s Epicor ERP environment, targeting accounts payable workflows that spanned supplier and cooperative member payments across the business. DocStar Enterprise Content Management was configured with predetermined automated document flows to manage inbound and outbound payment documents, including notification, approval, and data flows that reduce manual touch points. The implementation included DocStar Intelligent Data Capture IDC to ingest content from scanners, multifunction devices, email and watched folders, with Cloud and on-premise access options. Version control, automated records retention and real-time revision tracking were enabled to enforce document lifecycle and compliance requirements. Integration work focused on connecting DocStar ECM to Epicor ERP transaction records and accounts payable processes, enabling captured invoice and payment documents to be matched against supporting transactions. Operational coverage began with the Accounts Team and accounts payable processing and has started to expand into procurement analytics and related finance functions as the co-op shifts resources away from data entry toward value added roles. Governance changes included automated verification and exception handling within the DocStar IDC flow to reduce human error and to enforce privacy and compliance controls on stored documents. The Casino Food Co-op reports that the payment process that previously required days of manual work now completes in a few hours, and IDC extraction rates reduced manual data entry by the vendor stated range, supporting a more sustainable, paper reduced operation.

The Casino Food Co-op, formerly Northern Co-operative Meat Company | Consumer Packaged Goods | 1100 | $154M | Australia | Epicor | Epicor EAM | Enterprise Asset Management | 2012 | In 2012, The Casino Food Co-op implemented Epicor EAM, an Enterprise Asset Management application, to centralize asset and maintenance management across its five core business divisions. The deployment targeted operational control of plant and processing equipment that support the Co-op's paddock to plate operations in Australia, aligning asset records with production and compliance workflows. Epicor EAM was configured with core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities typical to the category, including asset registers, work order orchestration, preventive maintenance scheduling and spare parts inventory visibility, enabling standardized maintenance workflows and asset lifecycle tracking. The implementation incorporated automated maintenance notifications and role based approvals to reduce manual handling and improve operational consistency across production sites. Biscit delivered the implementation and integrated Epicor EAM with DocStar Enterprise Content Management and DocStar Intelligent Data Capture, linking scanned invoices and supplier documents into Epicor records. DocStar IDC captured documents from scanners, multifunction devices, email and watched folders with both cloud and on premise access, applying automated data extraction, verification and exception highlighting before routing documents into notification, approval and payment flows. Document version control, automated records retention and privacy controls were applied to support compliance, and the integrated flows reduced end of month payment processing from days to hours, decreased paper waste and freed accounts resources for higher value procurement analysis.
