Wesley Mission | Non Profit | 2251 | $181M | Australia | Oracle | Oracle PeopleSoft Receivables | AR Automation | 2009 |
In 2009 Wesley Mission implemented Oracle PeopleSoft Receivables as its AR Automation application, engaging Integrated Business Technologies to lead the deployment for the finance organization. The implementation established a centralized receivables platform to manage customer billing and receivable lifecycle functions across the organization.
The Oracle PeopleSoft Receivables deployment included standard AR Automation capabilities such as invoice generation, billing controls, cash application workflows and receivables aging, with configuration of transaction types, billing schedules and accounting distribution rules. Configuration efforts targeted customer master governance, billing schedule automation and mappings to the financial chart of accounts to support receivable accounting and project-level billing needs.
The receivables module was implemented as part of a broader PeopleSoft Financials footprint and operated alongside General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Project Costing and Billing modules to preserve accounting integrity and support end to end financial processes. Operational coverage focused on Wesley Mission finance, billing and project accounting teams across the Australia organization, aligning AR processes with project costing and billing workflows.
Governance for the implementation included formal testing cycles and user acceptance testing, and the environment continued to receive lifecycle support through PeopleSoft upgrades. Subsequent PeopleSoft 9.2 FSCM PUM upgrades and system tests were conducted in 2019 by application analysts to validate patches and UAT workflows, while Integrated Business Technologies provided the original implementation services.

In 2009 Wesley Mission implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as its ERP Financial system, migrating from Sage 300 ERP. The deployment positioned Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as the core platform for finance and HR at a large Australian charity that employs more than 2,000 staff and engages over 3,000 volunteers.
The implementation and ongoing estate centered on PeopleSoft Financials and HCM v9.1, with PeopleSoft Time & Labour and a Global Payroll application included in the supported modules. Functional coverage reflected standard ERP Financial and HCM workflows, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll processing, time capture, and core HR data management. PeopleTools was upgraded to v8.54 in 2014 as part of the application lifecycle maintenance.
Integrated Business Technologies provided systems support, maintenance, and recruitment services from 2009, supplying both permanent and contract resources to sustain PeopleSoft Financials and HCM operations. Operational scope included finance, payroll, HR and timekeeping functions across Wesley Mission services and sites, with IBT delivering ongoing technical support and ad-hoc business systems assistance prior to formal engagement.
In October 2012 IBT was engaged as Wesley Mission’s PeopleSoft Systems and Business Process Improvement partner on a 12 month assignment, focused on targeted remediation of the PeopleSoft Global Payroll application. Consulting and training activities performed by IBT included assistance with system specifications and design, project guidance, formal and informal training of client personnel, support for software modifications and enhancements, and technical advice on installation and configuration. IBT has provided various PeopleSoft support services since 2009 and continued in a formal support and improvement role through the documented engagement.
