Konica Minolta | Professional Services | 39755 | $7.4B | Japan | Anaplan | Anaplan Platform | EPM | 2018 | In 2018 Konica Minolta implemented the Anaplan Platform as an EPM solution to unify planning and reporting across four business units and 170 subsidiaries worldwide. The deployment was part of the companys DX2022 program to rationalize SaaS adoption and centralize managerial accounting data for the Business Management Department and finance teams. The Anaplan Platform implementation focused on planning and reporting capabilities, standardized managerial accounting workflows, multi-entity data collection, and detailed variance analysis of plans versus results. The solution used Anaplans Excel Add-in to accommodate differing spreadsheet versions, allowed simultaneous data entry by subsidiaries, and supported linking annual budgets and forecasts to medium-term planning processes. Konica Minolta engaged Qunie as the implementation partner while aiming for technical self-sufficiency in model maintenance. The Anaplan Platform was integrated operationally with business intelligence tooling to enable immediate analysis of compiled data, and it was rolled out across the companys four business units, including Digital Workplace, Professional Print, Healthcare, and Industry, and across subsidiaries operating in 150 countries. Governance and process changes emphasized standardization and reduced dependence on individual experts, enabling realtime aggregation and drill-down variance analysis. Report creation workload was explicitly reduced by 30 to 40 percent, one business unit eliminated about 2,000 monthly report files and saved roughly 2,000 hours annually, and worldwide teams experienced fewer data entry errors due to the centralized EPM data model and consistent companywide financial data. |
