CAF integrated SAP Databricks with SAP Business Data Cloud to provide scalable analytics compute and to improve data quality and time-to-insight. The architecture links train telemetry and operational telemetry streams with transactional and maintenance process data, enabling combined analytics without wholesale data duplication and supporting downstream AI model training and inference workflows.
Operational scope covered engineering, maintenance and operations teams with a global rollout originating in Spain, and governance was updated to enforce unified data definitions and quality controls across SAP Datasphere and the Databricks layer. The project explicitly improved data quality and reduced time-to-insight, aligning CAF SAP Business Data Cloud Analytics and BI with business functions in maintenance and engineering to accelerate decisions between engineering and operations.

The implementation used SAP HCM (HR) modules on ECC 6.0 Ehp6 to establish core HR capabilities. Functionality deployed emphasized employee master data and personnel administration, organizational management, payroll processing, time management, and standard HR reporting and compliance workflows consistent with Core HR requirements.
SAP HCM (HR) was provisioned within the companys SAP ECC 6.0 Ehp6 environment and serves as the central HR system of record for Century Plys India operations, supporting HR and payroll business functions. The configuration aligned HCM data models and personnel administration processes with manufacturing workforce needs and statutory reporting requirements in India.
The project was implemented and has been supported since January 2016 with SAP acting as the system integrator, and ongoing operational support provided through a combination of HR and IT governance. Senior consultant level SAP HCM resources are noted on the engagement, providing configuration, support, and continuous maintenance for the Core HR deployment.

In 2024 City of Houston implemented SAP Public Sector Management (PSM, FM, GM, BCS, PSCD) as its Government ERP to consolidate municipal finance, procurement, grants and citizen debt management functions. The deployment was delivered with SAP as vendor and included project planning input from Gartner and Deloitte, targeting enterprise finance, procurement and grants administration across municipal departments.
Configuration work centered on SAP Public Sector Management modules PSM, FM, GM, BCS and PSCD together with SAP FICO coverage for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Asset Accounting. The program implemented Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Order to Cash process configurations, and ran S4 HANA RISE workshops for Record to Report, Procure to Pay and Order to Cash process design and validation.
Integrations implemented included Ariba integration with ECC for supplier registration, solicitation, contract creation and invoice submission, plus interfaces developed to external suppliers and banking partners. The solution supported the full municipal budget lifecycle from preparation through city council submission and loading into SAP, extending operational coverage across multiple business departments responsible for budgeting, procurement, grants and financial close.
Governance and rollout were organized around SAP FICO led business process ownership, workshop-driven configuration validation, and centralized finance teams providing day to day operational support. The implementation emphasized funds and grants management controls, supplier and contract lifecycle orchestration, and cross-functional coordination between finance, procurement and grants administration, with SAP, Gartner and Deloitte coordinating project planning and governance.
