Following an earlier upgrade to Wallstreet Suite version 6.5 with SkySparc, the Aktia group consolidated treasury operations for the bank and the acquired life and non life insurance businesses onto the system, and subsequently observed that several post migration processes were not running efficiently and certain alerts were not being generated. SkySparc was engaged through its Expert Center to provide managed support for ION Wallstreet Suite and to introduce proactive monitoring. The Expert Center installed automated surveillance tools to analyze system performance and instrument operational processes, then made configuration changes to core application and real time processes to restore alerting and optimize run jobs. The team also delivered enhancement work including a pricing interface, and provided direct phone access to senior consultants for time sensitive problem solving, scheduled tasks and strategic advice. The operational model positioned SkySparc as the primary support owner for the Treasury Management environment, with SkySparc liaising with Aktia internal IT and interacting directly with vendor ION Investment Group to coordinate fixes and enhancements. Coverage included treasury and Middle Office functions across the group and the newly integrated insurance entities, with monthly Expert Center time allocated for both incident response and continuous improvements. Governance and process changes included formalizing monitoring standards and communicating hardware, firewall and mail server configuration requirements to internal IT to support the automated surveillance solution. Aktia reports that the SkySparc Expert Center arrangement reduced support costs by approximately 50 percent compared with an in house support option, while delivering proactive detection and a roadmap for ongoing operational improvements. | |
