SkySparc performed OmniFi installation, configuration and end-user training, and developed baseline test cases that were executed across unit test, system integration test, user acceptance test and go-live test phases. The baseline test suite was designed for reuse to support future patch cycles and to accelerate regression testing typical of Treasury Management workflows such as position valuation, cash forecasting and calculation validation. Project execution combined SkySparc consultants embedded with CMHC teams, both on and offsite, providing test case development, execution, analysis, troubleshooting and reporting. SkySparc also trained both technology and business teams on OmniFi reporting capabilities so business users could construct operational reports with reduced IT dependency, supporting ongoing reporting needs tied to the ION Wallstreet Suite deployment. The upgrade to ION Wallstreet Suite 7.4.43 was completed within the required 2015 timeframe, achieving approximately 90 percent automation of the testing process and producing more than 200 automated test cases. The documented test results and reusable test artifacts supported CMHC governance objectives, positioning the organization to execute future 18 month major upgrades and more frequent minor patches with a standardized, automated methodology. | |

To address back-dated changes and reduce run times, SkySparc developed routines that allow OmniFi to identify and isolate affected trades while leaving unaffected trades untouched, and implemented an automated query that parses WSS logs to locate impacted records. OmniFi was positioned as the orchestrator of daily uploads, enabling next-day availability of extracted data in the chosen database platform, and the configuration allowed business users to develop new extraction routines for evolving analytical needs. Governance and operational rollout included SkySparc-led workshops, handover of an easy-to-use approach for ongoing configuration, and deployment of automated audit trails for all revisions to transactions and limits. The solution was brought into production with the data warehouse going live in Q1 2016, SkySparc served as the system integrator, and reported processing improvements included reducing some back-dated change executions from more than 100 hours to overnight while preserving an auditable revision history. | |
