Juha Soininen Head of Middle Office documented that staff were copying and pasting data across sources which created accuracy issues and constrained the organization’s ability to respond quickly to ad hoc reporting requests from senior management. To address reporting complexity Keva deployed SkySparc’s OmniFi as a complementary reporting layer integrated with ION Wallstreet Suite, and configured OmniFi to consolidate feeds from Bloomberg and other internal systems including a private equity application. OmniFi was introduced incrementally starting in the middle office and then expanded to support allocation and exposure reports reconciliations and routine checks, with report layouts surfaced directly in Excel to preserve graphical and familiar spreadsheet workflows. Governance and operational processes were adjusted to leverage the new reporting platform, enabling faster testing of security patches and simplified upgrade validation of the asset management system. The deployed solution delivered explicit operational outcomes described by Keva including faster report creation, higher accuracy and broader access to real time data, for example an allocation and exposure update moved from approximately 15 minutes to a couple of minutes reflecting a seven fold reduction in that task, and OmniFi v3 rollout was completed with additional users across multiple departments. | |

The team also delivered enhancement work including a pricing interface, and provided direct phone access to senior consultants for time sensitive problem solving, scheduled tasks and strategic advice. The operational model positioned SkySparc as the primary support owner for the Treasury Management environment, with SkySparc liaising with Aktia internal IT and interacting directly with vendor ION Investment Group to coordinate fixes and enhancements. Coverage included treasury and Middle Office functions across the group and the newly integrated insurance entities, with monthly Expert Center time allocated for both incident response and continuous improvements. Governance and process changes included formalizing monitoring standards and communicating hardware, firewall and mail server configuration requirements to internal IT to support the automated surveillance solution. Aktia reports that the SkySparc Expert Center arrangement reduced support costs by approximately 50 percent compared with an in house support option, while delivering proactive detection and a roadmap for ongoing operational improvements. | |
