The initiative targeted time-series and transaction-level access from ION Wallstreet Suite to enable monthly and quarterly reporting and historical trend analysis, and DNB selected a database platform as the data warehouse storage facility together with a front-end reporting tool as the consumption layer. SkySparc was engaged to configure OmniFi as middleware between ION Wallstreet Suite and the data warehouse, delivering a proof of concept and detailed scoping before full configuration. SkySparc configured OmniFi interfaces to extract the full range of WSS data types, including performance data, valuations, transactions, cash flows, static data, limits and market data, and implemented automated parallel running of multiple OmniFi interfaces to accelerate extraction and support multiple scenarios and valuation currencies. To address back-dated changes and reduce run times, SkySparc developed routines that allow OmniFi to identify and isolate affected trades while leaving unaffected trades untouched, and implemented an automated query that parses WSS logs to locate impacted records. OmniFi was positioned as the orchestrator of daily uploads, enabling next-day availability of extracted data in the chosen database platform, and the configuration allowed business users to develop new extraction routines for evolving analytical needs. Governance and operational rollout included SkySparc-led workshops, handover of an easy-to-use approach for ongoing configuration, and deployment of automated audit trails for all revisions to transactions and limits. The solution was brought into production with the data warehouse going live in Q1 2016, SkySparc served as the system integrator, and reported processing improvements included reducing some back-dated change executions from more than 100 hours to overnight while preserving an auditable revision history. | |

The scope of the program focused on bank treasury operations within Länsförsäkringar Bank and on maintaining continuous operation of standard treasury modules such as cash management, position keeping, trade capture and settlement. With SkySparc handling the entire patch upgrade, Länsförsäkringar Bank’s team remained focused on the day-to-day requirements of its businesses, while governance required vendor-managed change control and formal sign off across test and production environments. | |
