SABORMEX | Consumer Packaged Goods | 2000 | $311M | Mexico | SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | 2006 |
In 2006, SABORMEX implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the companywide transactional system supporting its Mexico consumer packaged goods operations. The deployment focused on ERP Financial capabilities, positioning SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the primary platform for financial accounting and core transactional processes.
SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured to cover standard financial modules and workflows, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting and cost controlling, aligned to the ERP Financial use case. The implementation also included SAP BASIS administration and ongoing technical operations to support system refreshes, performance tuning, monitoring and SAP user security within the ECC6 landscape.
The SAP landscape for SABORMEX was populated with adjacent SAP components, including BW, CRM, NW-JAVA, NW-BPC, NW-PI, Solution Manager and BusinessObjects, enabling integrated reporting and cross-application scenarios. A heterogeneous migration project is documented for the ECC6 installation, moving systems between HP-UX with Oracle 10 and AIX with Oracle 11, reflecting OS and database level replatforming activity during lifecycle operations.
Techpeople served as the implementation and technical support partner, with documented SAP BASIS engagement and consulting activity between October 2012 and July 2015. Their responsibilities included SAP technical support for ECC6 and related components, system refreshes, disaster recovery and backup and restore testing using BR*TOOLS, plus end user support and ongoing monitoring for the SABORMEX ECC6 environment.

SABORMEX | Consumer Packaged Goods | 2000 | $311M | Mexico | Oracle | Oracle Database | Database Management | 2006 |
In 2006, SABORMEX implemented Oracle Database as its core Database Management platform. The implementation established enterprise database services to support SAP application tiers and centralized transactional databases used across the organization.
The Oracle Database deployment covered platform installation, database administration, performance tuning, and backup and recovery configuration consistent with Database Management practices. Documentation and follow-up projects reference both Oracle 10 and Oracle 11 database engines, indicating version-level upgrades were part of ongoing database lifecycle work.
Techpeople acted as the system integrator for SAP BASIS and database technical services, delivering system refreshes, SAP user security, monitoring, BR*TOOLS backup and restore tests, and heterogeneous migration activities. Project work explicitly included SAP ECC6, BW, CRM, NW-JAVA, SOLMAN and BO integration points, linking Oracle Database operations to SAP application workloads.
Operational architecture and governance combined Unix and Windows platforms, with HP-UX and AIX noted for database hosts, and formalized disaster recovery and restore testing as part of rollout and ongoing support. Activities focused on landscape installation and configuration, SAP BASIS administration, and operational handover to application and infrastructure teams.

SABORMEX | Consumer Packaged Goods | 2000 | $311M | Mexico | IBM | IBM Power Systems | Application Hosting and Computing Services | 2011 |
In 2011, SABORMEX implemented IBM Power Systems as its primary infrastructure under the Application Hosting and Computing Services category. The IBM Power Systems deployment was executed with Techpeople as the implementation partner and focused on hosting the enterprise SAP technical landscape for the company.
The implementation concentrated on SAP BASIS services and a full ECC6 landscape alongside supporting SAP components including BW, CRM, NW-JAVA, SOLMAN, BO, NW-BPC and NW-PI. The project included a heterogeneous migration of ECC6 from HP-UX and ORACLE 10 to AIX and ORACLE 11, with IBM Power Systems providing the AIX compute layer and Oracle 11 as the database platform.
Operational capabilities implemented as part of the hosting engagement included system refreshes, SAP user security administration, monitoring, backup and restore procedures using BR*TOOLS, disaster recovery testing for SAP applications, performance tuning and end user support. These functional operations were delivered through SAP BASIS administration and infrastructure management on IBM Power Systems.
Techpeople Consulting provided ongoing technical support and SAP Basis governance activities for the hosted environment, performing monitoring, backup validation and DR exercises as part of the IBM Power Systems hosting model. The solution narrative links SABORMEX, IBM Power Systems, Application Hosting and Computing Services and SAP BASIS as the central operating relationship for the company in 2011.
