In 2019 A & J Mechanical Svc implemented Solid Security Pro as a Secure Web Gateways (SWG) solution to protect its public website and harden web-based access. The deployment established Solid Security Pro as the primary site-level SWG control for the company, aligning the application with web application protection and site security administration functions.
The implementation focused on core Secure Web Gateways (SWG) capabilities, including web application firewall rules, malware scanning, login hardening and brute force protection, IP filtering and blocking, and centralized security logging and alerts. Solid Security Pro was configured through its administrative console to enforce site hardening policies and automated scanning, reflecting typical SWG functional modules used to reduce web attack surface for small business websites.
Operationally the Solid Security Pro deployment extended the existing vendor relationship with SolidWP formerly iThemes, and ran on the company website where iThemes Security had been in use. Governance was implemented at the site administration level with policy configuration, alert routing, and scheduled scans, providing a single-site SWG posture for A & J Mechanical Svc and consolidating web security controls under Solid Security Pro.
