In 2017, A.Y. McDonald Mfg. implemented Epicor ERP 10. Epicor ERP 10 was deployed as the company’s ERP Financial backbone to centralize financial management and support connected operational workflows across manufacturing operations.
The deployment covered core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, fixed assets and financial reporting, aligned to ERP Financial functional workflows. Configuration and custom development used Epicor tooling supported by SQL and C# extensions, with business process automation implemented through Epicor BPM and BAQ frameworks. Reporting and data orchestration were delivered using SSRS, SSIS and Crystal reports developed for operational and executive financial visibility.
System integration and operational coverage included finance, order-to-cash and procure-to-pay sequences with integration touchpoints into manufacturing and inventory processes to maintain transactional continuity. System integration work was led by internal ERP administration and development resources, leveraging BAQ queries and Epicor APIs for data exchange and shop floor interfacing.
Ongoing governance was managed by a Lead ERP Administrator responsible for configuration, customizations, end user support, infrastructure optimization, programming and network security.
