In 2018 Aboitiz Equity Venture migrated from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud ERP to consolidate financial processing and reporting. The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities to centralize the group finance function and standardize accounting control frameworks across business units.
The implementation focused on core ERP Financial capabilities, configuring general ledger and subledger accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, fixed asset accounting and project financials as part of the Oracle Cloud ERP rollout. BI Publisher was used for report design and financial data extraction, with development work using Oracle SQL Developer and PL SQL to support custom reporting and data pulls for reconciliations and statutory reporting.
Integration design was executed using Oracle Integration Cloud to orchestrate interfaces between Oracle Cloud ERP and existing third party applications. The project team built integration programs to enable inbound and outbound financial transactions, and worked alongside Oracle consultants on integration patterns for the Oracle Fusion Cloud Financial project to ensure consistent data flows during the transition from Oracle E Business Suite.
Operational governance centered on system administration and security role management, including ESS job scheduling, user management and access controls for finance users. Report and integration governance practices were established through collaborative design with Oracle consultants, aligning BI Publisher report ownership and integration design responsibilities with finance and IT stakeholders.
