FreeWheel Strata, an Agency Management platform, was configured to extend automated campaign planning, activation, optimization and financial management workflows to podcast inventory for agency buyers. Implementation scope covered Acast's entire portfolio, including shows from major publisher partners and independent creators, and enabled buyers across the Strata ecosystem of more than 1,100 agencies to discover, evaluate, and purchase inventory. Functional capabilities implemented included show and collection discovery, category and genre targeting filters, proposal generation, electronic order submission, and campaign planning that aligns podcast buys with digital audio and terrestrial radio placements. Integration architecture connected Acast's dynamic ad insertion technology to FreeWheel Strata so targeted, contextual ads could be scheduled and delivered to listeners on any app at download or playback rather than remaining baked into audio files. Operational coverage included both local and national footprints and allowed agencies to run campaigns across entire categories, collections, and individual shows while keeping planning, activation, and invoicing on a single platform. Governance and workflow restructuring centered on embedding podcast inventory into existing agency media workflows and converting the traditional RFP to invoicing sequence into an automated process that routes proposals and electronic orders to the Acast sales team. The implementation made it more efficient for agencies to plan and buy podcast inventory alongside other media channels and positioned FreeWheel Strata to enable automated podcast buying at scale. |
