In 2016, Accor Group centralized a harmonisation strategy around Infor SunSystems to standardize core accounting across its global estate. The initiative targeted 39 countries and more than 500 sites under the ERP Financial program, supported by continuous technological watch and periodic upgrade projects to maintain version alignment across subsidiaries.
The implementation emphasized accounting master structures and transactional control, using Infor SunSystems for chart of accounts harmonisation, department taxonomy updates, and core general ledger processing. Work driven by the USALI project manager revised the group chart of accounts and department mappings, and the PMO coordinated required configuration and process changes in systems globally.
Integration work focused on tighter alignment between Infor SunSystems and Group Finance applications, specifically business intelligence, consolidation, and master data management platforms. The program implemented structured data model alignment and interface orchestration to ensure consistent ledger, dimension, and entity master records flowed from Infor SunSystems into consolidation and BI systems, preserving financial reporting consistency.
Governance was formalized under a central PMO with USALI stewardship, combining change control for accounting structures, release management for upgrade projects, and locally executed rollout packages for country finance teams. Accor Group Infor SunSystems ERP Financial served as the primary accounting backbone for Group Finance, enabling coordinated process changes and system configuration across regions and sites.
