In 2013, Afosa implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP. The deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities for the Mexico distribution company and was aligned to support core finance and transactional needs alongside the company web and extranet presence.
The implementation configured core ERP Financial functions including general ledger, accounts payable, invoicing, and integrations into order entry and distribution workflows typical for a distribution business. Oracle NetSuite ERP was used as the authoritative financial system while the project preserved web-based transactional touchpoints through integrated services.
Architecturally the solution connected a Java web application stack to Oracle NetSuite via Restlets and web services. The web stack included J2EE, Spring, Maven, JavaScript, and CSS, with development and builds managed in IntelliJ, and an application integration layer orchestrating RESTlet calls between the extranet portal and NetSuite.
Operational ownership centered on IT and web administrators who administered the web system, supported the site in Java with ERP linkages, and maintained the extranet integrations. Governance emphasized change control for code deployments and API integration points, with developer tooling and build automation used to manage releases and integration updates.
