In 2018, Ag-Pro Corporate implemented CDK Global DMS. The deployment targeted Dealership Management capabilities across Ag-Pro Companies, covering a network of 82 dealer locations in GA, FL, SC, NC, OH, TN, and KY and supporting an employee base of approximately 1,850 staff. The implementation aligned the CDK Global DMS application with the companys core retail and aftermarket operations to centralize transactional workflows.
The CDK Global DMS implementation focused on standard Dealership Management functional modules including vehicle and equipment inventory management, parts inventory and procurement, service management and scheduling, sales desking and order processing, customer relationship management for retail and commercial accounts, and integrated accounting ledgers. Configuration work included cataloguing multi‑location parts lists, configuring service bay scheduling, automating parts reorder rules, and establishing sales deal templates to standardize pricing and documentation across stores. Mobile and technician workflow capabilities were provisioned to support field service activities and on the lot availability checks.
Operational integrations were designed to connect the CDK Global DMS to OEM parts catalog feeds, warranty and manufacturer data exchanges, point of sale and finance workflows, and the companys accounting systems to ensure transactional continuity between parts, service, sales, and finance functions. The deployment covered departments including retail sales, parts, service, procurement, and corporate accounting, enabling a single system of record for inventory and customer interactions across the dealer footprint. Data consolidation and master catalog reconciliation were core integration tasks to unify SKU, price, and warranty data across locations.
Governance and rollout followed a phased, multi‑site approach with centralized program oversight from corporate IT and dealer operations leaders. Standardized operational processes, role based access controls, and training programs were put in place to support adoption and enforce consistent workflows across locations. Ongoing governance emphasized data quality controls, change management for parts and pricing catalogs, and scheduled updates to maintain alignment with manufacturer data feeds and accounting interfaces.
