Configuration work centered on core general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, project accounting and intercompany journal processing. Acumatica Cloud ERP was configured to support invoice approval workflows, invoice auditing for accuracy, accrual and intercompany journal entries, and year end 1099 preparation, with controls established for CIP and fixed asset accounting.
Operational ownership rested with Agrace finance and accounting teams, including staff accountants who supported the rollout and day to day operations. Documented activities during and after implementation included recording daily, monthly and yearly journal entries, reconciling over 60 general ledger accounts at month end, maintaining project account spreadsheets to inform asset in service decisions, and filing regulatory and state reports.
Governance changes formalized AP approval and invoice audit responsibilities, and reinforced a documented month end close process to sustain a five day close cadence. Internal accounting resources helped implement procedure changes and manage year end workflows for review and processing of more than 100 1099s.
As deployed, Acumatica Cloud ERP served Agrace as the ERP Financial system that underpinned transactional accounting, fixed asset stewardship and month end close operations, while enabling the accounting team to complete a consistent five day month end close and maintain ongoing reconciliation discipline.
