Oracle Legacy Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2015 2015 In 2015, Allegheny Technologies Incorporated implemented Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable as part of its AP Automation footprint. The deployment was anchored on Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.9 with a SOA integration layer, and work focused on ongoing support and platform upgradation to stabilize invoice processing and payment orchestration. Implementation work encompassed design, development and testing of interfaces using PL/SQL to connect non-Oracle and Oracle source systems into Oracle applications. The Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable implementation operated alongside and interfaced with modules AR, GL, AP, FA, OM, SCM, INV and Service Contracts, supporting end-to-end invoice-to-pay workflows, supplier data synchronization and financial posting consistency. Integration architecture relied on SOA-mediated interfaces and PL/SQL-based batch and real-time adapters to move transactional and master data between systems, preserving accounting flows into GL and fixed assets subledgers. Operational scope cut across finance, procurement and supply chain functions, with the AP Automation capability positioned as the primary engine for accounts payable processing within those business functions. Governance emphasized controlled upgrades and release testing, with configuration management, interface validation and formal testing cycles used during the R12.2.9 upgrade and ongoing support activities. Design and testing responsibilities included interface validation, data reconciliation routines and regression testing to maintain transactional integrity across the Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable environment.
