Alliance is a publicly owned international pharmaceutical company listed on AIM, part of the London Stock Exchange. Alliance started trading in 1998 and have grown strongly to an annual turnover of over £100 million. At the heart of Alliance business sits a diverse team of dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced professionals who are committed to providing much-needed medicines around the world. Its expertise lies in the acquisition and licensing of pharmaceutical and healthcare products and delivering these to patients.
Scope and Challenges
In 2016 Alliance took the decision to invest into a new enterprise resource planning system to streamline their processes, which will bring the legacy Alliance Pharma and Sinclair systems onto a single integrated platform that will cover all of their financial and supply chain planning and fulfillment activities. Following a review of external providers, Alliance selected Microsoft Dynamics AX and it is on target to be operational across the business in mid-2018. At the moment, Alliance is evaluating third-party BI solutions such as ZAP BI and JetReports.
Outcome and Implications
With the transformation Alliance Pharma will Bring several legacy systems onto a single platform, which can handle all the financial and supply chain planning and fulfillment activities, Alliance will be able to streamline its processes and provide a scalable platform as they pursue further growth.
