In 2002, Alloya Corporate FCU implemented FIS InTrader within its Portfolio and Investment Management environment. The implementation supported net interest income and net income budget development, production of monthly earnings forecasts, variance analysis and management reporting across finance and treasury functions.
FIS InTrader was configured to support valuation workflows, interest income simulation and economic valuation simulations consistent with Portfolio and Investment Management practices. Configuration work included database development and application system management, and the team designed customized product and application system interfaces using Microsoft Access and Visual Basic to feed position and valuation data into the platform.
Operational integrations included coordination with interest rate risk and accounting applications administered by the same team, specifically ZM Financial, QRM, PALMS, BondEdge and Intrader. The deployment scope covered production of product profitability analysis and routine data exchanges to enable monthly forecasting and scenario valuation across treasury, finance and reporting processes.
Governance responsibilities were formalized around determination and adoption of assumptions and model components for budgeting, balance sheet valuation and income forecasting. The implementation team coordinated periodic system conversions, upgrades and enhancements, and developed and communicated performance reports to senior management, internal committees and governing agencies while providing recommendations in support of earnings objectives.
