Google Legacy Google Pay Payment Processing ERP n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Alpha Bank Romania SA implemented Google Pay on its website to extend its Payment Processing capabilities. Google Pay was integrated into the bank's customer-facing web channels to enable wallet-based cardholder payments and to support browser and mobile checkout flows for retail banking customers. The implementation used web payment APIs and the Google Pay JavaScript client to capture tokenized card credentials, avoiding storage of raw card numbers on the public site. Authorization requests are routed into the bank's card authorization and back-end payment processing systems, and operational ownership sits with payments operations and digital channels teams for governance, compliance, and ongoing support of the Google Pay Payment Processing integration.

Oracle Legacy Oracle Flexcube Core Banking ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Alpha Bank Romania SA upgraded Oracle Flexcube as part of a Group IT strategy to strengthen its Core Banking platform. The upgrade to Oracle Flexcube ran alongside coordinated upgrades to internet and mobile banking, treasury front office and back office applications, collection application, SWIFT and AML KYC systems delivered as a service by Alpha Supporting Services. The Oracle Flexcube implementation covered standard Core Banking functional areas including retail and corporate account management, payments processing, deposit and lending workflows, and interfaces required for treasury operations. Internet and Mobile solutions integration and the upgrade of treasury front and back office capabilities were implemented to operate with the core banking engine, reflecting typical Core Banking orchestration between transactional processing and channel systems. Local infrastructure, applications and IT services were connected and interfaced with the Issuer’s central applications, and managed by the Issuer’s IT Division. Central and local services were deployed on a redundant infrastructure spanning production and backup locations, with clear and tested business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and firewall replacements implemented in both production and disaster recovery sites. Governance and operational delivery were structured with Alpha Supporting Services providing application and platform services to the subsidiary, while the Issuer’s IT Division maintained local management and operational control. The program was executed as a multi project effort, including local infrastructure replacements and upgrades across servers, desktops, network equipment and printing devices to maintain platform availability and compliance readiness. The bank undertook several projects during 2017 and 2018 to ensure value creation at business level and to implement regulatory requirements, specifically upgrades tied to Regulation EU No. 2016 679 GDPR and Directive 2015 2366 PSD2. The program also encompassed a multi annual portfolio of infrastructure projects amounting to 161 planned initiatives aimed at maintaining up to date infrastructure.
