Deputy functions used alongside QuickBooks Payroll included kiosk and mobile clocking, shift trading, employee messaging, and timesheet capture, covering front of house and operational staff and enabling an end to end timesheet to payroll flow as Alpha Coffee prepared to open two more sites. Governance and workflow changes accompanied the rollout, with scheduling and communication centralized in Deputy and payroll runs centralized in Intuit QuickBooks Payroll. Management reported that using Deputy plus the integrated Intuit QuickBooks Payroll export removed hours of manual scheduling and payroll reconciliation, saving about 15 to 20 hours a week, and the clock-in kiosk practices also reinforced timekeeping compliance and employee engagement.
