In 2012, Alphapointe implemented ECI Macola as its Manufacturing ERP,Distribution ERP platform to centralize financial and operational record keeping. The deployment positioned ECI Macola as the primary system for general ledger, budgeting, inventory costing, and fixed asset management across the organization.
ECI Macola was configured to support core financial modules including the general ledger, month, quarter, and year-end close workflows, budget management, cost accounting, and fixed asset capitalizations, disposals, and depreciation. The implementation explicitly handled inventory valuation calculations such as E&O, LCM, and FCA, supported payroll import processes and ecommerce accounting, and enabled cost center profit and loss reporting.
The ECI Macola environment was integrated with the Pulse reporting system for departmental analytics and reporting, and financial reconciliations were maintained in Foundation and banking accounts as part of month-end controls. Budgeting workflows included uploading consolidated budget data into Macola ES and a structured budget process covering approximately 50 cost centers, with deliverables flowing from facility accounting to division and corporate stakeholders.
