Governance and process controls were formalized alongside the application, including establishment of accounting policies and procedures, maintenance of the cost accounting system and variance reporting, coordination with external auditors, and quarterly SOX testing of controls. The implementation supported Accounting, ecommerce, and facility finance functions and was used to produce cost center level financial statements and regulatory or grant reporting as required.
