In 2020 ALPI implemented Altamira Leave Management, deploying Altamira Ferie e Permessi across its Italy HR organization to address manual email and Excel leave processes and to introduce a company-wide holiday plan and formal absence approvals. The rollout targeted Leave Management requirements to centralize absence records and make leave balances visible to employees, managers, and HR staff.
Configuration concentrated on leave request and approval workflows, a centralized holiday calendar, balance calculation logic, and custom reporting for HR, with Altamira Leave Management configured to surface employee balances and produce ad hoc HR reports. Functional modules implemented included absence request submission, manager approval routing, holiday planning, balance visibility, and HR reporting dashboards.
Operational scope covered ALPIs HR operations in Italy with a company-wide design for holiday and absence governance, shifting coordination away from email and spreadsheet processes and into the application. Governance changes established standardized approval routing and consolidated ownership of absence reporting within HR.
ALPI reported that the implementation increased transparency of leave balances, enabled custom reporting for HR, and noticeably reduced the volume of absence-related emails and manual interventions. No implementation partner or additional system integrations were specified.
