In 2022, alShiaka implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as part of an ERP Financial modernization and deployed Oracle Cloud SCM and Oracle Retail on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to consolidate finance, supply chain, and retail operations. The Saudi clothing retailer standardized on Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud SCM, Oracle Retail, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to gain integrated control over procurement, inventory, order management, accounting, store profitability, and customer engagement, and it replaced the incumbent Infor ERP system as part of this consolidation.
The implementation focused on Oracle Cloud ERP Financials together with Oracle Cloud SCM Inventory Management and Order Management capabilities, and Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service and Oracle Retail Customer Engagement. Configuration emphasized financial process automation, inventory traceability, warehouse picking packing and dispatch workflows, pricing and merchandising controls, and customer profile consolidation. Oracle Cloud ERP Financials integrated and automated 29 previously disparate business processes to provide a single source for financial reporting and store profitability analysis.
Integrations were delivered between Oracle Retail Xstore POS and the ecommerce, marketplace, and mobile channels to provide sales associates with real time inventory status, customer transaction histories, and replenishment visibility. The suite runs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, providing automated support maintenance backup and disaster recovery, while Oracle Cloud SCM provided end to end traceability of supply chain transactions. alShiaka executed the Xstore integration and go live using the expertise of its internal IT team, and plans to extend integrations to additional systems.
Governance and operational changes aligned procurement and supplier planning with the new supply chain and retail flows, enabling the company to provision safety stock and prioritize faster moving products in response to pandemic era disruptions. The combined Oracle Cloud ERP SCM and Retail deployment changed business flows to favor earlier bookings and additional lead time for planning, and delivered unified reporting for managers to plan and track financial transactions store performance and sales associate productivity. Supply chain execution features covering sourcing, warehouse picking, packing, dispatch, and supplier planning were implemented to support prioritized stocking of faster-moving products and premanufactured safety stock strategies introduced after pandemic disruptions.
alShiaka led the integration and go live using its internal IT team, and replaced an incumbent Infor ERP with Oracle Cloud ERP as the backbone for finance and operational control. Oracle Cloud ERP automated twenty nine previously disparate financial processes and the combined Oracle Cloud ERP, SCM, and Retail configuration gave the retailer centralized control over procurement, inventory, order management, accounting, store profitability, and customer experience, while OCI provided scalable infrastructure with automated maintenance, backup, and disaster recovery.
